Summer activities

Treasure hunt, slithery snake workshop and creative competition

We have a lot of exciting activities for you and your family this summer. Some of them you can experience at the museum, and some you can do at home with inspiration from the exhibition Doctor Proktor's sensational collection of animals you wish didn't exist.

JUNE 15 - AUGUST 31
TREASURE HUNT AT THE MUSEUM
Find all the selected treasures in our exhibitions, mark them on the museum map, learn something new and be eligible to win unique museum experiences for your whole family. Let the hunt begin!

JUNE 15 - AUGUST 31
SLITHERY SNAKE WORKSHOP

Ana Conda has escaped from the exhibition ‘Doctor Proctor’s Sensational Collection of Animals You Wish Didn’t Exist’ and is slithering around the museum! We have everything you need to help make another snake, so that Ana Conda can have a friend.

JUNE 15 - DECEMBER 1
CREATIVE COMPETITION – BECOME AN IMAGINATIVE ZOOLOGIST

In connection with the exhibition ‘Doctor Proctor’s Sensational Collection of Animals You Wish Didn’t Exist’, Stavanger Museum invites all children to make a fantasy animal that they really wish didn’t exist – so Doctor Proctor’s collection can become even larger!

Make or draw your own creature in the material you prefer, and send a picture of it to ashild.nordahl@museumstavanger.no . The competition is for children aged 5-14, and it lasts until december 1st 2021. The winner will get their creature 3D-printed, and will also recieve an exclusive pencil set!
