Natural heritage in Rogaland

04. Apr 2019 KL. 18:30 - 19:30

Per Kristian Austbø from the County Governor talks about our dramatic and varied landscape, with a nature charactereized by thousands of years of natural and man-made changes. The talk will be held in norwegian.

The nature of Rogaland is a treasure trove of natural heritage that reflects its south-western location in Norway. Dramatic and shifting landscape, from the outer coast to the eastern high mountains, provide a range of ecosystems with a large number of vegetation types, species and great recreational experiences. Millennia-old cultural landscapes provide historical depth to this heritage. These values are under large influences, both from natural and not least from human activities in the county.
