MUSTs malaise traps discovers 2 new insect species in Norway.

The insect project by the natural history department gives exciting results even before it has really started.

Two new Diptera-species for Norway have been found in Malaise-trap samples from MUST Malaiseproject in 2019. The Agromyzidae Cerodontha geniculata was found in two samples from within the protected areas on Jærstrendene (coastal sanddune habitat), while Chymomyza caudatula, belonging to Drosophilidae, was recorded from Evje in Setesdalen.
