Fun in Fall Vacation

This weeks program

Stavanger Museum is open every day during the autumn holiday and we have many activities for those who spend the holiday in the city.

SUNDAY 8. OCTOBER, 12.30 og 13.30

Museum Educator Camilla Bjerk Olsen will take you behind closed doors and show you everything from skulls to skeletons, birds’ feet and animal skins. The exclusive guided tours last for half an hour.

MONDAY 9. OCTOBER

Let’s make paper birds. Cut out and glue together an oystercatcher or a Great tit, or learn how to fold a crane (bird).

WEDNESDAY 11. OCTOBER, 13.00

The Norwegian Children’s Museum celebrates the birthday of the friend of children and young people’s champion Lars H. Lende (1882 -1971). Presentation at Hanne’s Lekestue and free sweets for all!

WEDNESDAY 11. OCTOBER, 11.00-16.00

Museums Café for the very young. On Wednesday we roll out the red carpet for the very young in the Bird Room at Stavanger Museum/The Norwegian Children’s Museum. Here there is lots of room for prams, crawling mats and toys. The Museum’s Café is run by Matmagasinet who offer a good choice of lunch food for all ages.

FRIDAY 13.OCTOBER, 13.00

An exotic tour with the Animal Keeper in the museum’s basement. He tells the stories about the animals, from 1877 up until the present.
